In 1996, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency launched this award program to help accelerate green chemistry innovation.
Since then, over one hundred winners have been recognized. These winners include large companies, startup ventures, academic institutions, and individual researchers. Over a thousand have entered.
The entrants in the Green Chemistry Challenge Awards cover every sector of our economy, and have gone on to fundamentally improve the environmental and human health profiles of countless manufacturing processes and products.
