For nearly 30 years, the United Nations has convened the world’s nations for an annual Global Climate Change Summit.
The formal name of the gathering is “Conference of the Parties,” and this meeting in 2021 is the 26th event… thus the name “COP26.”
The core event took place October – November 2021 in Glasgow, though related events are events were also held before and after those dates.
